The 2019 Banjaluka Int’l Animated Film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina is to screen Iranian short animation ‘One Person’.

The 2019 edition of the Banjaluka International Animated Film Festival in Bosnia and Herzegovina has scheduled to screen Iranian short animation ‘One Person’.

Directed by Mahboubeh Kalaee, the 3-minute animation is about a bowl with three motifs of roses where a universe of meaning is telling the story of love and loneliness.

Born in 1992, Kalaee holds a BA in Industrial Design from the Tehran College of Fine Arts. She is studying animation directing at Tehran University of Art (Faculty of Cinema) since 2018. She is a 2D animator, writer, illustrator, graphic designer, and director of several short and experimental animations.

Launched in 1971, the Banjaluka International Animated Film Festival was the first of its kind in Yugoslavia, and while it has changed over the years it has remained focused on its love for all things animated.

The 2019 edition of the festival is slated for October 24-28, 2019 in the Bosnian city of Banja Luka.
